Event Summary:

“Congress of Fluid and Electrolyte and Acid/Base Disorders” was organized by Nephrology Research Center of Tehran University of Medical Sciences and more than 50 national speakers were chosen and has helped design this scientific conference.

Topics like Renal tubular acidosis (RTA), different types of lactic acidosis, Stewart approach in fluid and electrolyte and acid/base disorders, Nephrocalcinosis, VBG and ABG, fluid and electrolyte and acid/base disorders in liver diseases, fluid and electrolyte and acid/base disorders in kidney transplantation, metabolic alkalosis, high altitude poisoning, fluid and electrolyte and acid/base disorders in diarrhea, diabetic ketoacidosis, potassium balance in acid/base disorders, acid/base disorders in colonoscopy, hypokalemic and hyperkalemic periodic paralysis, chronic hypokalemia and renal disorders, diagnosis and treatment of primary hypoaldosteronism, acid/base disorders in surgical settings, different approaches to polyuria, acid/base disorders in anesthesiology, therapeutic apheresis complications, acid/base imbalances in eating disorders, acute and chronic respiratory acidosis, acute and chronic respiratory alkalosis, acid/base disorders in malignant hyperthermia, acid/base disorders in cancerous patients, chemotherapy induced acid/base disorders, organic academia, volume depletion, volume status in critically ill patients, different approaches to edema, oral rehydration therapy, hysteroscopy and acid/base disorders, management of acute and chronic hyponatremia, cerebral salt wasting nephropathy.

Nephrology Research Center of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, has focused its attention and efforts on novel aspects of medical research. Moreover, remarkable activities in terms of education and treatment have been carried out to attract and develop national and international collaborations which promise a new perspective on the horizon of medical research in Iran.
